Supercrit #4: Bernard Tschumi: Parc de la Villette (October 2005)

Supercrits take major experimental projects that have ‘changed the weather’ of architectural thought and practice -- and put them back into the design studio ‘crit’ format for open public and expert debate.

Supercrit #4 was presented by Bernard Tschumi. Speakers include Peter Cook, Bruce McLean, Nigel Coates, Carlos Villaneuva Brandt, Murray Fraser.

The experience was one of reading a virtuoso novelist when the possibility of ever writing like that yourself is moved even further away from you. Cook praised Tschumi for his unswerving “clarity” and it was indeed the lucidity with which Tschumi spoke that was really stunning. (Helen Castle, Building Design, 21st October 2005)
